Derailment shuts Shenfield-Southend line until at least 25 August

A train derailed between Wickford and Southend Victoria on Friday 14 August, closing the line and triggering major disruption expected to last until at least the end of service on Tuesday 25 August, according to [1]. The incident affects Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria/Braintree, and separately between Wickford and Southminster, according to [1].
