Radio Mason

How Radio Mason is made

Last updated: 20 August 2026
The short version: Radio Mason is a radio station made with AI — and we think you should know that, plainly, not in small print. The presenters you hear are AI voices reading AI-written scripts. The news is assembled by AI from real, named sources. The music is real music by real artists, properly licensed. And a human — the station manager — is responsible for all of it. Truth is the foundation; that has to include the truth about ourselves.

How we mark AI content

In line with good practice (and the EU AI Act's transparency rules, which we follow voluntarily as a UK-only station): we disclose on air that our presenters and bulletins are AI; this page is the permanent written disclosure; and our AI-generated audio carries machine-readable markers in its file and stream metadata where technically feasible. Our synthetic voices are commercially licensed, and we never clone a real person's voice without their documented consent.
